The Supper Table

I just realized that it's been a month since I last posted and so I'm serving up a double portion for the imaginary musical dining guests in my head.  The first course is some classic Thelonious Monk with the forever brilliant John Coltrane on the side.  Two great tastes, that taste great together, either alone will soothe and enchant, together they floor you.  This selection comes from the first side of a Milestone double album representing "Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane" and "Monk's Mood" it's a part of the first release. Continuing in the vein of Duke albums that proved his relevance, beauty, and power to me after I had long considered him an irrelevant quaint musical relic, I present Duke and Trane.
